we want to PUMP, you up...

those famous quoates from SNL will remain in my mind forever, and so will the original pumps from Reebok. the old tennis ball on the tongue pump is still around, but the pump 2.0 has a new idea. why not use the action of each stride do the pumping for you? so Reebok has made the pump 2.0, where the chambers are pumped up automatically from the compressions of each step. the chambers fill up to 5psi and provide you with a customized fit. i can say that even 15 years ago, the pumps fit well. in addition to the laces, the air chambers actually bind your feet better to the shoe. remember michael chang? the original pump man. his tennis shoes are as legendary as air jordans, except we're talking about reeboks and not nikes. nevertheless, these pumps have the same release valve to facilitate removing the shoes. so going from manual pump, to compressed air gun "insta pump", and now to laceless-auto-pump.. the reebok revolution. so you might be thinking... won't it explode from over pumping? no.. this won't happen because the pump itself will release air when the pressure has been reached. i've tried it with my old pumps... you can't "pop" them. for more information on pump click HERE [equipbug]
