Ipod Photo ALTERNATIVE 01

the iPod stands arrogantly at the top and it's not waiting to be toppled. after my iPod was fried a few days ago, by the iPod updater from APPLE, i contemplated about getting the iPod photo. after searching the web, i've decided to wait. i'll give Apple one more chance to upgrade the iPod in a significant way, to justify going back to the white case. so while i wait, i can make a few introductions to some alternatives ALREADY out. as already mentioned, the Apple Shuffle has been bested by Sony's own flash player. and the iPod was bested by this number: the 20GB VAIO pocket. unfortunate for SONY, http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifit never really took off, but it's a solid product. at the time it was far ahead of the iPod and still is in all ways except the drive size and price. the VAIO pocket has a far nicer screen, a more functional touch pad, a great looking design, and every function the iPod has but more. the Pocket can play videos, TV clips, music (WAV, MP3, ATRAC3, ATRAC3 plus, and WMA), 20 hours battery life, remote headphones with screen, 2.2 inch superbly sharp QVGA screen, G sense touch control pad, dock for computer and DIRECT USB in from digital cameras. the list goes on... but the really nice thing is the "G sense" touch pad. it is a series of buttons which are imbedded on a touch pad. so basically you can scroll up down sideways and in circles if you like... then when you get to what you want, press on any of the buttons which correspond to the actual color screen. check it out HERE. after playing around with this Pocket, i'm certain that the iPod will need to improve inorder to stay in it's top spot. silouetted figures in their ads can get them there, but they'll need quality to stay there.
check out the photos. [equipbug]
